Johnson O’Connor is a regional Public Accounting Firm located outside of Boston in Wakefield, MA. We are seeking an Attest Partner with 15+ years of public accounting experience who is leadership-driven and interested in participating in their own career growth.
The Attest Partner is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients by effectively leading teams through all phases of client engagements. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and analytical skills, as well as the technical ability to address questions, identify issues, and effectively communicate. As a leader in the Attest Department, responsibilities will include mentoring and developing staff members, while fostering an environment of both growth and continuous learning.
The successful candidate will actively participate in Firm-wide business development initiatives, while maintaining the Firm’s professional reputation for excellence and integrity.
The Job Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring.
- Oversee all aspects of client’s financial statement requirements and overall relationship.
- Ensure the Firm’s high standards of quality are met or exceeded.
- Leverage staff to achieve deadlines and manage budgets.
- Foster strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, resolving issues promptly, and proactively identifying opportunities to add value.
- Remain cognizant of changes in accounting standards and industry developments.
The Job-Essential Requirements Are:
- 15+ years of public accounting experience
- Masters degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred; CPA required
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards and regulatory requirement (i.e. GAAP, GAAS)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex accounting issues
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage
multiple tasks simultaneously - Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Commitment to exceptional client service
- Intellectually curious
- Flexible, self-starter personality whose personal values coincide with JO’s Core values (Respect, Integrity, Teamwork & Excellence)
